Final report from Linda Worthy:

"I was delighted to be invited to judge the Silken Windhounds at the Bodensee Festival and I would like to thank the hardworking Committee for putting on such an enjoyable and well organised event. It was a pleasurable experience from arriving in the morning, through the judging and on to the fantastic barbecue during the evening.

I had some lovely Silkens to judge and would like to thank the exhibitors for bringing their dogs for me to go over. I gave BISS to Kumbaya Believe in Magic and BOSS to Pengybrook Endevor Justaminx – two beautiful Silkens. Believe in Magic's daughter won the Junior Bitch Class – I was told this was her first show, I thought she was lovely and I think she has a bright future. Winners dog was a lovely young dog from Intermediate – Adonai's Awesome Attila and Res Winners Dog was the handsome Veteran Endevor Prince of Thieves – he was also the sire of the Reserve Best Bitch – Fay of Silkenjoy. I was extremely pleased with all my winners.

I won't go through all the dogs but will just say that, since I last judged Silkens, in Bremen, a few years ago, I think the breed has progressed greatly and I congratulate the breeders on thinking so carefully about their breeding plans and about the future of the breed.

I enjoyed every minute of the day and thank everyone again for making the day what it was and I hope to come to a future show as a spectator.
